Our story
It all began in 1986. A young and seemingly insignificant man named Julius, somewhere in Nigeria, was invited to a large evangelistic crusade led by Reinhard Bonnke. During the event, he was suddenly struck down as if by lightning, falling to the ground and being tossed back and forth in the mud. When he stood up, his shoes were gone—and he found himself praying in tongues. At the time, he didn’t understand what had happened, but he immediately sensed that his life had been radically transformed.
The Bible describes such an encounter in Matthew 3:11: "I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I... He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire." This baptism in the Holy Spirit marked the beginning of Julius’s spiritual journey.
                    From Africa to Europe
Soon, a deep passion for the lost ignited in his heart. He joined a local church and began sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with passengers on buses in his hometown. Even then, people began calling him “Pastor.” What he didn’t yet realize was that God had far greater plans for his life.
A few years later, Julius arrived in Germany, continuing his cross-continental journey of faith. He joined a church and served faithfully under his pastor for many years, preaching the Gospel in refugee shelters and on the streets of Hamburg.

Years later, when Reinhard Bonnke visited Germany after the crusade in Nigeria, he prayed for Julius—now a mature believer—and laid hands on him. From that moment, Julius’s spiritual life took a new turn. His ministry began to bear fruit, and the first deliverances followed.
                    First Wave of Revival
In 2003, Julius received a divine calling to establish a church. After a revival event with Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai in Hamburg, the newly founded congregation grew rapidly—reaching around 300 people from many different nations who found salvation in Jesus Christ. His growing impact did not go unnoticed: a respected magazine named Prophet Julius O. Egeonu among the 50 most prominent Africans in Germany. In addition to his preaching ministry, he is the author of the book “Do not quit – The best is yet to come” and two prayer booklets.
                    Church Growth
He began broadcasting weekly services on the regional television station Hamburg 1, reaching a broader audience across the city and beyond, and every week new people were added to the church and baptized. As a result, the church continued to grow steadily, both in numbers and in spiritual depth.
                    International Breakthrough
In 2015, Julius met his spiritual father, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, who laid hands on him and anointed him with oil. From that moment, his ministry expanded significantly. People from abroad began traveling to Hamburg to attend services led by Prophet Julius O. Egeonu. His international reach expanded as he regularly held events in countries such as the USA, Angola, India, Romania, England, the Netherlands, and France.
